PlayerVision helps you find pickup basketball runs. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account details from our sign-in provider (Clerk): your email, name and profile photo if you add them.
- Your profile: handle, optional display name, bio, photos, playing preferences (level, formats, times, travel distance) and visibility choice.
- Runs and RSVPs: runs you create or join, whether you said you're going, confirmed, checked in, and whether an organizer marked you as played or a no-show.
- Court reports: when you report activity, we store the court, the time, the count or activity level, and whether there was a wait. Reports stop showing after an hour.
- Posts, comments, ratings, photos and messages you choose to send.
- Feedback you give after runs.
- Product events such as viewing or joining a run, tied to your account or, if you're signed out, to a random identifier stored in your browser. We don't store IP addresses or device fingerprints in these events.
Location
- We ask for location only when you use a feature that needs it: sorting by distance, checking in, reporting a court, or submitting a new court.
- For sorting, your location stays in your browser (or is rounded to about 1 km when sent to find nearby runs) and isn't stored.
- For check-ins and court reports, your coordinates are compared with the court's location to confirm you're there, then discarded. We store only the result (at the court or not).
- When you submit a new court, the location you submitted from is stored with the submission so moderators can check it.
- We never show any player's location to other players and don't track location in the background.
Who can see what
- Public runs, courts and activity counts are visible to everyone. Activity is shown as totals, never as who reported it.
- Your handle appears on runs you join unless your profile is private; organizers always see who joined their run.
- No-shows and late cancellations are visible only to you and the run's organizer.
- Invite-only runs are visible only to the organizer, participants and people with the invite link.
Service providers
- Clerk for sign-in and accounts.
- Supabase to store PlayerVision data.
- Vercel to host the app.
- Mapbox for maps and place search. Map tiles and searches you type are sent to Mapbox.
- Anthropic only if you choose to count players from a photo: the photo is sent to count the people in it and isn't stored by PlayerVision.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings → Delete account. We delete your profile, posts, comments, ratings, photos, messages, RSVPs, preferences and notifications, cancel runs you organize (players are notified), and then delete your sign-in account. Past runs keep anonymous attendance totals so other players' history stays accurate.
Age
PlayerVision is not for children under 13. Because it helps people meet in person, players under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian's permission. (Needs legal review before launch, including any school or campus partnership.)
Contact
Questions or requests: use the report tools in the app, or contact the PlayerVision team through the address listed when the app launches. (Contact address to be added before launch.)
